Phi Phi has everything! Pristine beaches; crystal clear turquoise water; awesome dive sites and dive shops waiting to guide you in the underwater world of the Andaman Ocean; great bars and nightlife and last but not least; A superb range of fantastic, scrumptious delights!
Whether you want to eat indoors in the cool air conditioned restaurant, dine al fresco or get up close and personal with Thai culture and eat at the markets offering many delicious, cheap authentic Thai cuisine; there is plenty of establishments to choose from!
Between operating our daily scuba diving trips or our awesome snorkeling trips even our staff have to eat. Here’s our list (in no preferential order) of our personal top 10 places we go to fill our bellies
No 1: Unni’s Restaurant

Delicious Scandinavian food
This Scandinavian run restaurant was opened in 2007 and is situated in Tonsai Village opposite The Adventure Club Dive Center.
Opening time is 7:30am for breakfast and closing at 11:00pm. Unni’s offers a delicious variety of international dishes and has recently launched a new menu including mouth-watering dishes such as juicy meatballs with mashed potato, fish tacos and a new craze in food; ‘poke bowls’ (chunks of raw, marinated fish; which is then tossed over rice and topped with vegetables sauces.
They have the best array of fresh healthy salads and a great dessert menu and did we mention the 99 baht cocktails? Well they are the cherry on the cake!

No 2: Efe’s Mediterranean Cuisine
A new comer to Phi Phi. This Mediterranean gem is quickly becoming the restaurant of choice for expats and travelers alike thanks to it’s traditional Turkish delights such as homemade tzatziki sauce with fresh bread, sizzling platters, kebabs and wraps.
This small, cozy restaurant can be found in Tonsai Village and the opening hours are 12:00pm until 10:30pm
Seating is limited so get there early to avoid the queue.

No 3: Papaya Restaurant

Thai and Indian food
The aesthetics of this small, intimate restaurant might be a little sparce but there is nothing sparce about their food in terms of taste and portion size!
Papaya serve fantastic low budget Thai meal with huge portions, and also a full range of Indian cuisine.
Great selection of ice cold fruit shakes to cool you down also. Opening times are 8:30am until 10:30pm
By the way, don’t forget to look in their drinks refrigerator.

No 4: Calamaro Resto
Smiling, friendly staff await you at this small cafe in the center of Tonsai Village. Great value for money and offering salads, sandwiches, burgers, noodle dishes and also some Thai dishes you can’t find anywhere else on the island such as Yum Gai Saab (spicy chicken salad)
They also offer a very nice and large fried breakfast for around 120 baht.
Prices start at around 60 baht for salad and they sell Chang beer for 40 baht and opening times are 9:30am until 10:30pm

No 5: Pirates House Restaurant Phi Phi
Situated in the heart of Phi Phi this place is a go to for your Indian cuisine. This place serves the best Butter Chicken, the creamiest Korma and super choice naan breads!
They also have a great selection of pizzas and Thai dishes.
Open 9:00am until midnight
Location: Opposite Dojo bar and Krung Sri Bank
No 6: Grand Phi Phi Arcade

Awesome smoothie bowls
This cute outdoor restaurant is one of our go to places at all times of the day. We love the laid back setting and décor. Super healthy breakfasts are served including breakfast smoothie bowls. The poached eggs are cooked to perfection!
Opening ours are 8:00am – 3:00pm and 6:00pm – 10:00pm
Location: Walk 100 meters past the Irish bar on the way to the viewpoint
No 7: Ae Seafood

The best seafood on the Island
This awesome place is Thai style with plastic chairs and foldout tables but we don’t eat here because of the furniture. The food speaks for itself! Very popular with the locals. The seafood is fresh and delicious! The Thai food is also fresh and tasty with easily the best Tom Yam on the island. Open all day and night.
Location: Walk through Tonsai Village on the way to the viewpoint and take a right (before Casita Resort) towards the water filtration plant.
No 8: Monster Burger

Build your own burger
This is where you come to create your perfect burger!
Create your own burger from scratch and add as much extras as you want. You receive a check list style menu where you tick what type of pate you want; beef, chicken, vegetarian and then tick away for all the extra fillings you require. Oh!
And the hash browns are scrummy! Opening hours from midday to 10:30pm.

No 9: Tom Yum Restaurant

Best Tom Yam there is!
Tastiest Thai food and cheapest burger meals on Phi Phi. If you are trying to save a buck or two then head here to fill up your belly! Open 10:00am until 11:00pm

No 10: Local Food Market

Simple and delicious
Located in the center of Tonsai Village you will find the Thai food market offering cheap, local, authentic Thai cuisine.
Ranging from various noodle dishes, (try the Phad Thai), deep fried snacks, fried chicken, mango with sticky rice and ice cool teas! This place is a gem for picking up many dishes and delicacies! Open from around 0700 AM – 9 PM
Location: Center of the village
Bonus choice: Dow Vegetarian Restaurant
Last but not least is our favorite vegetarian and vegan restaurant. Easily the best vegetarian menu on the island offering an extensive list of delicious, fresh, healthy cuisine such as potato wanton, vegetable spring rolls and fried rice pineapple. Opens midday until 10:00pm
