Emergency First Response

Emergency First Response is a PADI affiliate that specializes in teaching these lifesaving skills – and they’re for anyone, not just divers.

From even the slightest of injuries to more severe life threatening situations you never know how your actions may make the world of difference to a loved one, or maybe even a complete stranger.

If you plan on doing the PADI Rescue Diver course then you will need to be medically trained and the Emergency First Response course is the perfect option.


Based on guests arriving in the morning to Phi Phi Island

    • Day 1: 1200 PM: Student registration.
      • 1300 – 1800 PM: Course theory and practical application in our air-conditioned classrooms

Based on guests arriving in the afternoon to Phi Phi Island

    • Day 1: Arrive on Phi Phi island. 1900 PM: Student registration.
    • Day 2: 0900 AM – 1400 PM: Course theory and practical application in our air-conditioned classrooms


  • This program takes half a day to complete
    Courses start any day.
    Theory classes are conducted in our air-conditioned classrooms
    Includes: EFR Manual, Tea, coffee and water, PADI instructor, PADI certificate.

    Pick up service is not included. Guests need to make their own way to our dive center for the trip meeting point.

    (Part 1): Theory and video sessions

    The Emergency First Response Course is divided into 10 Sections:
    SETUP and Barriers.
    Primary Assessment.
    Rescue Breathing .
    One Rescuer CPR.
    Choking Management.
    Control of Bleeding.
    Shock Management.
    Continuing Circle of Care
    Illness Assessment.
    Injury Assessment.


    Must be over the age of 11 years

  • Guests should book at least one day before the trip date

    Booking registrations can be made directly at the dive center either the day before the trip date (for morning tours) or before midday for afternoon tours.

    Students are required to complete the PADI Student record File and PADI Medical Statement.

    A 10% deposit payment through our website will reserve spaces for this trip

    Final payment can be made at the dive center prior to trip departure

    In the event that a student cannot complete the course we shall only charge to the portions of the course that have been conducted.

    If a student has any medical condition, the student must have a clearance from a doctor prior to being allowed to dive. We recommend the student reads the PADI medical PDF provided below.

Emergency First Response Manual, 6-8 hour program, Classroom theory and practical applications


In order to prepare everything we require guests to complete the registration process the day before the course starts, The registration includes completion of PADI documentation, reviewing the course procedure and completion of payment.


The course is conducted in one of our classrooms. Students will watch the EFR video and practice and demonstrate techniques in managing accident emergencies. Medic first aid skills will be practiced on the Annie Doll and simulated with other EFR students.
