PHI PHI ISLANDS

The Phi Phi Island group consists of 6 islands located within the Had Noppharathara National Park which is part of the Krabi Province in southern Thailand. The islands are situated about 40 kilometers west of Krabi and 48 kilometers east of Phuket. Access to the islands takes about 2 hours by ferries that run daily both morning and afternoon.

PHI PHI DON ISLAND

PHI PHI DON ISLAND

Phi Phi Don Island also known as Koh Phi Phi Don, is the largest of 6 islands and the only one that offers accommodation and facilities during your stay at these islands.

This island consists of 2 separate groups of limestone mountains connected by a thin peninsular in the middle that is only a few hundred meters across.
This peninsular creates the spectacular backbone for the twin bays: Loh Da Lum Bay and Tonsai Bay and is the center for all of the resorts, bars and restaurants.

PHI PHI LEY ISLAND

The pearl of the Andaman

PHI PHI LEY ISLAND

Phi Phi Ley Island is the 2nd largest island in the group after Phi Phi Don and only a short 20 minute boat ride south of the main island.

The island consists of high limestone cliffs and steep mountains offering breath-taking views while surrounded by spectacular waters that offer some of the best snorkeling and diving in Thailand. Be sure to out this island on your list of things to do as it is one of the most beautiful in the world.

BIDA NOK ISLAND

Bida Nok Island

BIDA NOK ISLAND

Bida Nok (Bida Nog) is one of two small islands located 5 minutes south from Phi Phi Ley Island. This small island is only a few hundred meters radius, but offers a number of spectacular scuba dives for beginner divers or experienced divers.

The reefs here are very shallow and habitat to hundreds of reef fish species, turtles, sharks and other pelagic fish such as barracudas, trevallies and the nomadic whaleshark. Although this is one of the best scuba diving sites around, it also offers some great snorkeling for those with a sense of adventure.

BIDA NAI ISLAND

Koh Bida Nai

BIDA NAI ISLAND

Bida Nai Island is the closer of the two Bida Islands that make up this pair of spectacular diving and snorkeling sites. The island is small limestone karst that is only 300 meters from it's sister, and offers equally amazing diving and marine fauna.

The northern side offers a wall dive covered in glassfish, seafans, hunting trevallies and the marauding black tip reef shark. The southern side offers large boulders, swim throughs with large schools of snapper and barracudas.

BAMBOO ISLAND

Koh Pai

BAMBOO ISLAND

45 minutes north of Phi Phi Don Island is the magical Bamboo Island (AKA Koh Pai). This island is part of the national marine park and is inhabited only by the nomadic sea gypsies and the park rangers that monitor arrivals.

Bamboo island is surrounded by white sandy beaches and a shallow coral reef which is recovering from the 2004 tsunami. There is a national park fee of 200 baht per person to go onto the island.

MOSKITO ISLAND

Koh Yung

MOSKITO ISLAND

Moskito Island (AKA Koh Yung) is close to Bamboo Island and is the 6th and last island in the Phi Phi Island Group. Due to it's name and location it does not get many visitors but this makes it an ideal option to visit if you want to see a good variety of marine life.

Moskito island only has one small beach, although we recommend not to go on it. There is a good reason why it is called Moskito Island! On the northern side of the island there is a pinnacle suitable for scuba divers only, that is covered in soft corals. Don't expect to see other divers there.
